I squeeze beside a gangly guy in his Canucks sweater at the back of the #4 heading downtown and we are an hour before the start of game six. You going to the game? “You bet.” I tell him he is a lucky man. I tell him about a tweet announcing that Sami Salo might play and both of us grunt and hold our stomachs. We can relate to how it would feel to get a puck in the nuts. But he thought Salo was questionable – for good reason. But Sami plays and the Canucks suffer a rout. A vicarious kick in the balls.
